Jeremiah is a 4 year old, 13 lb. long-legged Italian Greyhound-Chihuahua mix. Jeremiah and his brother were surrendered to Oakland Animal Services when his owner lost her home in early February. Although the shelter was an overwhelming place for Jeremiah, he quickly perked up after being placed in his foster home and is ready to find his permanent pad!
While initially cautious, it doesn’t take long for this cuddle-bug to nestle up next to you and give kisses. Jeremiah’s athletic stature makes him a great agility candidate; his graceful greyhound legs beg for a run or hike. After a little exercise, Jeremiah would happily curl up on the couch or warm your lap, if you like to Netflix and chill.
Jeremiah is a real foodie and loves mealtime and treats, a great sign for training and confidence building. Food puzzles are one of Jeremiah’s new favorite activities, he is one smart chi. Jeremiah is currently honing his house training skills and practicing loose leash walking.
Jeremiah currently lives with several other dogs while he can be a bit standoffish as he acclimates, we believe he’d be a great addition to a pack or solo pup. This delicate flower is still adjusting to the noises of a bustling house, he’d likely do best in a quieter environment. While Jeremiah has not yet been around children, both breeds are characteristically good with children. Presently, he rarely barks, so he would do well in an apartment or condo. Needless to say, Jeremiah has all the makings of an amazing companion!
