Hi, Hello! My name is Pancho, I’m looking for my forever home, do you know anyone looking for a chi to spend forever with? Life hasn’t always been easy, but I’m learning to trust people and enjoying life in my foster home, which is much better than the shelter let me tell you!

My brother, Lefty and I, were brought to Contra Costa shelter after our owner became homeless and had to give us up. We were terrified and almost euthanized because we were so scared and shut down. Luckily, two amazing volunteers helped save us and we were placed into a loving foster home. My brother was recently adopted, so now it’s just me! I’m about 3 years and a little meatball weighing between 15-18 lbs. I’m very playful and get along great with most other dogs once I know them. In fact, I love wrestling with Wednesday, my Aussie foster sister. I’m a totally cutie and sweet as pie once I warm up.

I tend to bark when I meet new people, so need someone who is dog savvy and patient to help build my confidence and teach me that strangers aren’t bad. I’m learning routines and trying to be accident free in the potty department. My favorite activities include: snuggling, burrowing under the covers, playing, exploring outside, lounging in the sunshine and begging for food. I would do best in a household with no young children and owners who have chi/dog experience.

P.S. Here is a super cute video of me: http://youtu.be/SwqLC5tlT4k

I’m “sponsored” which means my adoption fee has been waived, thanks to a generous donor :)
